Performance Check
The Performance Check consists of a fluid inspection, road
test, external adjustment inspection, and a pan examination.
These inspections provides a complete diagnosis of your
transmission's performance and general operating condition.
Simply put, if we find that
there is a problem, we can immediately determine whether
it's a big problem or no problem at all. This step-by-step
approach is what sets us apart from the competition and has
earned us a reputation of quality and professional service
within the automotive industry. Whether is the family sedan,
your pride and joy collector vehicle, or the weekend toy our
reputation is there to give you the comfort that you have
received the very best service possible.

Fluid Inspection
Although it's the simplest test in the Performance Check to
do, the fluid inspection may show the first sign of possible
wear and damage. A transmission in good condition will have a
clear, unpleasant odor, this may be an indication of
internal wear and damage which is occurring as you drive your
vehicle. An unpleasant odor and discoloration, in combination
with other symptoms, may require an internal inspection of your
transmission.
Road Test
The road test
consists of two segments, a stationary test and a driving test,
which together comprise the most detailed portion of the
Performance Check. We will thoroughly test every position of
your transmission for slipping, noises, harsh, soft or erratic
shifting, and late or early shift patterns.
External
Adjustment Check
All external
adjustments will be checked to determine if a minor adjustment
will correct any problems with your transmission. As you can see
from this, we always check the simple cures first.
Pan Examination
The Pan
Examination provides the Center Manager, technical personnel and
you a look inside your transmission.
In all pans,
there are some metal particles and friction present. However,
when an excessive amount exists and we decide that a minor
adjustment will not correct the problem, we will recommend an
Inspection Service.

Transmission Maintenance Service
The automatic transmission is one of the most complicated
and thus one of the less reliable parts of the vehicle. The
repair of an automatic transmission is complex and tends to
be quite expensive. More than that, automatic transmission
problem can make your car unsafe - some transmission defects
may cause, for example, that the car can roll with the
shifter in Park or drive forward with shifter in Neutral. On
the other hand, if taking a good care of your transmission
can last you really long with no significant problems. Mr.
Transmission Transmission Service is the most complete
transmission service you can find anywhere. This service
includes:
|
|
|
|
Minor Replacement Service
There are several problems
that can be resolved with an adjustment (A simple adjustment
is one that can be made without removing the transmission
from the vehicle.) or minor repair. |
|
|
|
Reseal Service
This service includes in vehicle reseal and transmission
removal reseal. A transmission is resealed in order to
repair external transmission fluid leaks. If you see
spots of red oil on the ground under the car, your
transmission may be a candidate for a reseal job. In
order to check a transmission for leaks, a technician will
put the car on a lift and examine the unit for signs of oil
leaks. If a leak is spotted at any of the external
seals or gaskets and the transmission otherwise performs
well, the technician will most likely recommend that the
transmission be resealed.
Most of the external seals can be replaced while the
transmission is still in the car but, if the front seal must
be replaced, the transmission must first be removed from the
vehicle in order to gain access to it, making it a much
costlier job. |
|
|
|
Custom Rebuild of Transmission (Complete Overhaul)
In a complete overhaul, the
transmission is removed from the vehicle and completely
disassembled with the parts laid out on a workbench. Each
part is inspected for wear and damage and then either
cleaned in a special cleaning solution, or replaced with
another part depending on its condition. Parts that have
friction surfaces, such as bands and clutches are replaced
as are all seals and gaskets. The torque converter is also
replaced, usually with a remanufactured one.

Internal Inspection Service
Only after we perform a thorough
Performance Check and all other possible solutions have been
ruled out we will recommend conducting a comprehensive
Internal Inspection
Service. Your transmission is one of the most complex
systems in your vehicle with hundreds of precision parts
operating together. Determining the exact problem and giving
you an exact price requires the removal and dismantling of
your transmission and performing an inspection of the parts
inside your transmission. Only through the Inspection
Service we can provide you an accurate estimate. Should your
vehicle require an internal inspection service, there will
be a labor charge that your Mr. Transmission manager will
review with you. The labor charge for the internal
inspection service will go towards the repair cost. |
